Aaithan:
Situated near Dibrugarh on the bank of the Brahmaputra lies a sacred place by the name Aaithan, which is a very popular picnic spot. It is 15 Kms from Dibrugarh town, and the approach road is quite interesting.
Akashi Ganga:
Akashi Ganga is known for its scenic beauty. Akashi Ganga is a gigantic waterfall close to Dabaka Town, on the Dabaka-Dimapur Road in Assam. Located 50 kilometers to the southeast of Nagaon, Akashi Ganga finds mention as a holy place associated with the Shakti cult in the Kalika Puran. Picnickers throng it in winter.
Bhalukpung:
Bhalukpung is a beautiful place, surrounded by hills, forests situated on the bank amidst the sandy beaches of the Jia Bharali & Tipi Rivers, it is one of the most pleasant and scenic locations within the Nameri National Park. Popularly known as the ‘Temple of Orchids’, it is a wonderful space housing thousands of rare orchids found within the Park. It is one of the best picnic spots in Assam. The sandy beach of Jia Bharali River attracts thousands of tourists to Bhalukpung, every year. Jia Bharali is also suitable for rafting.
Bhairabkunda:
Bhairabkunda is a popular picnic spot in Udalguri district in the State of Assam, India. It is situated on the border of Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh, near the Bhutanese town of Daifam. The Jampani River, originating in Bhutan and Bhairabi River merge here to form Dhanshiri River. Dhanshiri River is a major tributary of Brahmaputra River.
Bogibill:
It is situated near Dibrugarh, on the bank of Brahmaputra. It is a very popular picnic spot filled with glittering sand all along.
Bor Xil:
This is a very popular picnic spot around Sivasagar and thousands of people gather during season. This favorite location is situated on the foothills of Nagaland and the legendary Dikhow River flows though the place.
Charaideo:
Charaideo is the original capital of Ahom Kingdom, located at a distance of 28KM to the east of Sivasagar town established by the founder of Ahom dynasty, Su-Ka-Pha in 1253AD. It is famous for maidams or Burial vaults of Ahom kings and the other members of the royal family.
Champawati Kunda:
Champawati Kunda is a magnificent waterfall located at Chapnalla in the Nagaon District of Assam. Located along side National Highways NH-36 and NH-37 on the Tezpur-Nagaon-Dimapur road, Champawati Kunda is close to the Kaliabor sub-division town at a distance of 48 kilometers to the east of Nagaon. Kaliabor is a historic place which was the headquarters of the Barphukans during the Ahom historic-period, and eventually was the scene of several battles fought against the Muslim invaders.
Chandubi:
Chandubi Lake is natural lake located in Kamrup district and at a distance of 64 kilometers from the city of Guwahati accessible through National Highway 37. The lake is located at the foot of Garo hills surrounded by Assam and Meghalaya. The place is calm and peaceful covered by deep forest, tea garden and small and distinct villages.
Chawki:

Disang Mukh:
Disang Mukh is the river mouth of the tributary of the Mighty Brahmaputra situated very close to the Sivasagar town. It is popular as tourist spot and picnic spot for its scenic beauty. It becomes quite exotic experience of picnic at ‘Disang Sapori’ surrounded by flowing water of Disang river crossing by joined boats of two to three small boats during season, i.e., December to February.
Hatishila:
Hatishila Picnic Spot is famous due to the front view of the elephant made up on of stones. The historic name Hatishila also come from this two stones which makes the front view of Elephant.
Kalagpar:
Kalagpar Picnic spot is located at Chandrapur in Kamrup district. Its natural beauty and good facilities for enjoying picnic attracts people to enjoy picnic.
Kulsi:
Kulsi is situated 55 kms away from Guwahati and is famous for Gangetic dolphin and is a beautiful picnic spot.
Mou-Chapori:
It is a temporary riverine island formed by the mighty Brahmaputra during the winter season. It is the perfect place for somebody who is looking for serenity and calmness. Surrounded by the mighty Brahmaputra it is a very popular picnic spot. It can be accessed by local country boats from Nimati Ghat 12 kms from Jorhat district.
Sivakunda:
This is a water fall in the Amsoi hills, located about 10 k.ms.from National Highway no.37 towards south. It is a picturesque spot and a large number of people gather from October to March for picnic.
Rani:
The Rani area is a major picnic spot with the Kapili stream being the main source of attraction. The stream flows through the rocky hills with elegance and flows down to the plains where it becomes the Kapili River. It is about 8 Km away from Guwahati.
Tengapani:
Tengapani is situated in the Nagaon district of Assam and just 3-KM from Kathiatoli Chariali (towards South East). Tengapani is one of the beautiful and dangerous but attractive Waterfalls in Assam located at Kathiatoli Hill Range, Assam. Tengapani is laying down in the lap of the Reng-Beng Hill in Assam and attracts tourists by its natural beauty of waterfalls and cascades of the streamlet.
Xouraguri Sapori:
Situated near Sivasagar district, it is in the bank of river Brahmaputra. The famous Ajan-Pir Dargah is also situated here.
